India Observes Teachers' Day September 5

India celebrated Teachers' Day on Saturday, September 5, 2026, honoring the vital role of educators in shaping the nation's future. The annual observance, which marks the birth anniversary of Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, saw messages of appreciation from the country's highest offices and activities in educational institutions across the country. President Droupadi Murmu extended her greetings to teachers on the eve of the occasion. In her message, she emphasized the profound impact educators have on students' lives.
