Inbetweeners 3 production begins in UK

Production has officially begun in the United Kingdom on a third reunion movie for the popular British teen comedy series "The Inbetweeners," with Netflix confirming the project. The film, titled "Inbetweeners 3," will see the return of the original lead cast: Simon Bird as Will McKenzie, James Buckley as Jay Cartwright, Blake Harrison as Neil Sutherland, and Joe Thomas as Simon Cooper. The creators of the original sitcom, Damon Beesley and Iain Morris, are back to write and direct the new feature. A statement from Beesley and Morris expressed enthusiasm for the reunion, saying, "It’s been superfun hanging out with our friends again, and we’re going to work hard every week to ensure there are no problemos making this new film for humans." Filming commenced on September 7, 2026, with a short teaser clip released showing the four main characters reuniting. The video features the cast getting into the iconic, doorless 1996 Fiat Cinquecento Hawaii car, a memorable vehicle from the show's second season. The film is being produced by Claire Jones, alongside Patrick Holland of Banijay and Mark Lesbirel of Fudge Park Productions. Film4 is also providing support for the production.
