Hyundai Unveils Santa Fe EREV With 600-Mile Range for 2027

Hyundai announced on Wednesday, August 26, 2026, that it will launch a new extended-range electric vehicle version of its popular Santa Fe SUV in the United States in the first half of 2027. The Santa Fe EREV will offer a combined driving range of more than 600 miles on a full battery charge and a single tank of gasoline, marking the company's first entry into the growing segment of vehicles that use a combustion engine as a generator to extend electric range. The announcement was made during Hyundai's 2026 CEO Investor Day in Seoul. The Santa Fe EREV will be manufactured at Hyundai's plant in Alabama, with production slated to begin early next year.
