Hyperliquid Strategies Expands Equity Facility to $2.5 Billion
Hyperliquid Strategies has significantly expanded its equity financing capacity, increasing its facility with Chardan Capital Markets from $1 billion to $2.5 billion. The company disclosed the amendment in a filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission on September 1, 2026. The move provides the Nasdaq-listed firm with additional room to raise capital through the periodic sale of newly issued shares, which could be used to fund its treasury strategy centered on acquiring HYPE, the native token of the Hyperliquid network. The $2.5 billion figure represents the maximum aggregate commitment under the amended agreement, not cash already received. The company controls the timing and size of any share sales, which will depend on market conditions, the trading price of its stock (ticker: PURR), and management's assessment of corporate funding needs. Proceeds are intended for general corporate purposes, which may include purchasing HYPE, though the filing does not confirm any new token acquisition tied to this expansion. Hyperliquid Strategies has been actively building its HYPE holdings since completing a business combination in December 2025.
