Houthis claim over 50 Saudi airstrikes as Yemen fighting escalates

Intense fighting between Yemen's Houthi forces and Saudi-backed government troops has escalated dramatically, with the Houthis claiming Saudi Arabia launched over 50 airstrikes against their positions in a 24-hour period. Meanwhile, Yemen's Saudi-backed government forces reported conducting their own operations, stating they destroyed Houthi vehicles and weapons near the Red Sea port city of Mocha. The fighting has triggered a significant humanitarian crisis. The United Nations' International Organization for Migration reported that nearly 86,000 people have been displaced since July, with over 2,000 fleeing to neighboring Djibouti. The healthcare system along the western coast has been severely disrupted.
