Honor Magic 9 Pro Max Appears in Hands-on Video

Honor's upcoming Magic 9 Pro Max has appeared in a hands-on video posted on Weibo, giving the clearest public view yet of the flagship phone ahead of its official debut in China on September 28. The footage shows the device in a Moss Green finish and reveals a significant design change: a wide rectangular camera housing stretching across the back, with large round rings around the lenses, replacing the circular camera module used on the Magic 8. Honor first showed the Magic 9 Pro Max at the Venice International Film Festival, where the company revealed the moss green color for the first time and confirmed that its partnership with cinema camera maker ARRI will continue. According to Honor, the lens layout follows the design language of one of ARRI's most iconic cinema cameras, and the company has said the new camera setup was inspired by the ARRIFLEX 35. The phone carries ARRI branding near the cameras, and Honor says it will include ARRI software features such as LogC3 for preserving highlights and shadows, ARRI Wide Gamut 3 for a broader color space, and ARRI Looks for cinematic color styles.
