Homan confirms DHS investigation into Omar marriage fraud allegations

White House border czar Tom Homan confirmed on Sunday that the Department of Homeland Security is conducting an ongoing criminal investigation into allegations of immigration fraud involving Democratic Representative Ilhan Omar of Minnesota. The confirmation follows comments from Homeland Security Secretary Markwayne Mullin, who stated last week that Omar married her brother to help him enter the United States. During an appearance on Fox News, Homan stated, "I'm confirming that ICE is, yeah, look, I said months ago that it's something that's been reported and needs to be looked at." He declined to discuss specific evidence or investigative steps but emphasized that no one is above the law. "If someone committed an immigration violation, if someone committed marriage fraud or anything like that, regardless if they're a congressman or not, no one's above the law," Homan said. The investigation centers on longstanding, unproven allegations that Omar married Ahmed Nur Said Elmi in 2009, whom critics claim is her brother, to facilitate his immigration to the United States.
