Heyy Babyy 2 Confirmed as Part of Three-Film Australia Deal

Published 4 September 2026

Producer Sajid Nadiadwala has confirmed that a sequel to the 2007 comedy film Heyy Babyy is in development, with the project set to be shot in Australia. The announcement was made on Thursday, September 3, 2026, during a meeting with New South Wales Premier Chris Minns at the Mumbai office of Nadiadwala's production company, Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment. Heyy Babyy 2 is one of three upcoming films from the production house that will be filmed in Australia as part of a new three-film deal. The collaboration is facilitated through Sydney-based production company TEMPLE. The original Heyy Babyy, which starred Akshay Kumar, Riteish Deshmukh, Fardeen Khan, and Vidya Balan, was also shot in Australia. Nadiadwala described the announcement as a landmark moment for his company. He stated that the decision to return to Australia for the sequel was a natural choice, citing the positive experience of filming the original there. "Australia is not only breathtakingly beautiful, but also an incredibly film-friendly country with a highly professional, efficient and welcoming environment for filmmakers," Nadiadwala said in a statement.
