Hazlewood targets ODI series to maintain intensity for South Africa Tests

Australian fast bowler Josh Hazlewood is targeting a busy schedule of one-day cricket to maintain his bowling intensity and build towards October's Test series in South Africa, following a successful return to the Test format against Bangladesh. Hazlewood is expected to be named in Australia's One Day International squads for the upcoming tours of Zimbabwe and South Africa, with selections anticipated to be announced on Tuesday. The 35-year-old pacer made an impressive comeback in the Test series against Bangladesh, taking seven wickets, including a six-wicket haul, in the first Test in Darwin. This marked his return to the format after more than a year away, during which he missed the home Ashes series and the ICC T20 World Cup. He also reached the milestone of 300 Test wickets during that match. Hazlewood expressed satisfaction with his physical condition after a significant training block. "I'm very pleased with where I'm at physically, I've done a lot of work, probably the 10 weeks leading into that series, it was probably our last big training block before what's to come.
