Harry and Meghan Leave Chickens in US for UK Move

Published 26 August 2026

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are set to arrive in the United Kingdom this week, beginning an extended stay with their two children, but their famous flock of chickens will remain behind in California. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are relocating from their Montecito home to a private, non-royal residence outside London, with their children, Prince Archie, 7, and Princess Lilibet, 5, enrolled in British schools to start the autumn term in September. The move, described by a representative as an "extended period" of time, comes after a family holiday in the UK over the summer.
