Hamilton's arrival was a deliberate nod to Ferrari's heritage. He explained that he had recently acquired and restored the iconic F40, a car he had sought for some time. He described finding a particularly authentic example with very low mileage, noting that the original owner had driven it only 69 kilometers from the Maranello factory before storing it. During the restoration process, a remarkable detail was discovered: the engine was stamped with the number 44, matching Hamilton's racing number. "It feels very much fate," Hamilton said, adding that he wanted to highlight Ferrari's history at their home race. The driver's sartorial choice, a black suit and tan overcoat, also drew attention amid the warm Italian weather.
