Great Britain and Germany have qualified for the Davis Cup finals after decisive victories in their qualifying ties over the weekend. Great Britain defeated Ecuador 4-0 in London, while Germany overcame Croatia 3-1, securing spots in the knockout stages to be held in Bologna from November 24 to 29, 2026. Great Britain's win marks their first appearance in the quarterfinals since 2023. The team achieved the victory without top players Jack Draper, who ended his season early due to injury, and Cameron Norrie, who withdrew with a minor arm injury. In the tie, Arthur Fery and Toby Samuel won their singles matches on Saturday at the Copper Box Arena, giving Britain a 2-0 lead. On Sunday, the doubles pair of Henry Patten and Neal Skupski clinched the tie with a 6-3, 6-4 win over Gonzalo Escobar and Diego Hidalgo. Harry Wendelken later secured the 4-0 sweep by defeating Angel Veliz. Patten commented on the team's synergy, saying, "We are good friends off the court, which I think always helps, and we spend time with each other when we are on the tour anyway."
