Govee Launches AI-Powered Smart Lighting at IFA 2026

Published 3 September 2026

Govee has unveiled a new lineup of AI-powered smart lighting products at the IFA 2026 trade show in Berlin, headlined by the Sky Ceiling Light, which the company describes as the industry's first AI-powered, mood-responsive ceiling light. The announcement, made on September 3, 2026, includes the Sky Ceiling Light, two new COB LED strip lights, and an updated set of permanent outdoor lights, all designed to integrate artificial intelligence for more personalized and adaptive lighting experiences. The Sky Ceiling Light, a 20.5-inch fixture first previewed at CES in January, is designed to mimic natural skylight. It uses Govee's AI Lighting Bot 2.0 to generate lighting based on a user's mood and needs. When a user desires a more energizing environment, the system can prioritize a specific 478nm sky-blue spectrum, which Govee says is tuned to support alertness and the body's natural rhythm. The light offers a color temperature range from 1,000K to 10,000K, delivers up to 7,000 lumens of white light, and has a color rendering index (CRI) of 95. It also features a DaySync function that automatically adjusts lighting based on time and weather data.
