Gomez Seeks Dismissal of Wondermind Fraud Lawsuit
Selena Gomez's attorneys have filed a motion to dismiss a securities fraud lawsuit brought by investors in her mental health startup, Wondermind, calling the allegations "absurd" and warning of potential court sanctions against the plaintiffs. The legal filing, submitted on August 27, 2026, in the U.S. District Court for the District of Delaware, seeks to throw out the case against Gomez, her mother Mandy Teefey, and Wondermind co-founder Daniella Pierson. The lawsuit, originally filed on August 13, 2026, was brought by two limited liability companies, Wondermind SRS 44 and Bespoke Wondermind SPV, which claim they invested $1.2 billion in the company.
