Gemini Spark Manages Google Photos Library

Google's personal AI agent, Gemini Spark, has gained the ability to manage users' Google Photos libraries, enabling automated organization, editing, and content curation. The integration allows users to instruct Gemini Spark to perform complex, multi-step tasks within their photo collections, aiming to simplify the management of potentially thousands of images. The new capabilities allow Gemini Spark to search and curate photos and videos by subject, location, date, or event. Users can ask the AI to identify the best shots from a trip, enhance image quality, create collages, or generate stylized pictures. When editing, Gemini Spark creates a new copy of the image, leaving the original untouched. The AI can also automatically create new private or shared albums and populate them with selected photos. Beyond basic organization and editing, Gemini Spark can extract text from images, such as concert flyers or handwritten notes. This extracted information can then be summarized or reformatted into Google Documents, or used to cross-reference event details with a user's Google Calendar to check availability. A key feature is the ability to schedule recurring tasks.
