Garmin Unveils Fenix 9 and Fenix 9 Pro Smartwatches

Garmin has announced the Fenix 9 and Fenix 9 Pro, the latest iterations of its flagship adventure smartwatch series, featuring brighter displays, enhanced durability, and new software features aimed at athletes and outdoor enthusiasts. The new watches were revealed on August 25, 2026, and are scheduled to become available for purchase on August 28, 2026. The Fenix 9 series represents a significant hardware upgrade over its predecessor. The standard Fenix 9 features an AMOLED display that is twice as bright as the previous model, protected by a scratch-resistant sapphire lens. The Fenix 9 Pro models push this further, with some AMOLED versions reaching a peak brightness of 3,000 nits.
