Fulham host struggling Manchester United in Premier League

Published 20 September 2026

Manchester United travel to Craven Cottage on Sunday to face Fulham in a Premier League match where both teams are under pressure after poor starts to the 2026-27 season. The fixture, scheduled for a 4:30 p.m. BST kickoff, comes with United winless in three games across all competitions and Fulham still seeking their first league victory of the campaign. United have collected only four points from their opening four Premier League matches, with their sole league win coming against Ipswich Town. Their recent form includes a draw with Everton, a loss to Manchester City in the derby, and a midweek League Cup elimination by Brighton and Hove Albion. Manager Michael Carrick has publicly accepted responsibility for the team's difficult start, stating that the focus must remain on finding solutions rather than assigning blame. Fulham, managed by Alvaro Arbeloa, have taken one point from their first four league games. However, they have shown signs of improvement with a goalless draw at Liverpool in their previous league outing and a League Cup victory over West Ham United. The London club's last home Premier League win against Manchester United came in December 2009.
