Friend arrested after two Kerala women killed in California

Two women from Kerala living in California were killed in separate incidents on August 28, with their mutual friend arrested in connection with the deaths, according to police and relatives. The victims were identified as Anjana Hari, 35, of Thrissur, and Ann Mary Mathew, 40, of Thiruvananthapuram. Their friend, Anila, 32, a native of Kottayam, has been taken into custody. The motive for the killings has not been established. The incidents began around noon on August 28 in Milpitas. Police responded to a report of a hit-and-run collision in a parking lot on Dixon Landing Road near the Mill Creek Apartments. Witnesses stated a blue SUV fled the scene after striking a woman.
