Fresno plane crash death toll now 3

A woman has died from injuries sustained in a small passenger plane crash that killed two children in Northwest Fresno on Saturday afternoon. Authorities identified the deceased woman as 41-year-old Danna Eady of Auberry. Eady, a flight instructor at Reedley College, succumbed to her injuries Sunday after being hospitalized in critical condition. The crash occurred around 1:50 p.m. near the Sierra Sky Park Airport on Blythe Avenue. Four people were aboard the aircraft when it went down on a bluff overlooking the San Joaquin River, igniting a fire that firefighters worked to extinguish. First responders found the plane ablaze. Two children were pronounced dead at the scene. An adult male, identified by a family fundraiser as Eady's husband, Craig, remains hospitalized in critical condition. Eady was also identified by the fundraiser as the mother of the two children who died. Multiple agencies, including the Fresno Police Department, Fresno Fire Department, Fresno County Sheriffs Office, and North Central Fire Department, responded to the incident. The crash briefly disrupted power to approximately 1,700 nearby homes before service was restored.
