Fox News names Emily Compagno as new cohost on The Five

Fox News announced on Monday, August 24, 2026, that Emily Compagno will become a permanent cohost on its top-rated program, The Five, beginning September 8. The appointment fills the seat left vacant by Jeanine Pirro, who departed the show last year after being named interim U.S. attorney for the District of Columbia. Compagno, a current cohost of the afternoon program Outnumbered, will join the roundtable alongside regulars Greg Gutfeld, Dana Perino, and Jesse Watters. Jessica Tarlov and Harold Ford Jr. will continue to alternate in the role offering a liberal perspective.
