Former Marine's Trump golf course case suspended over mental fitness

A California judge on Wednesday suspended criminal proceedings against a former U.S. Marine arrested at President Donald Trump's Los Angeles-area golf course, sending the case to a mental health court after determining the defendant was not fit to stand trial. Jeanine John Taele, 38, will remain in jail until a hearing on September 9 at the Hollywood Mental Health Court. The case stems from Taele's arrest earlier this month at Trump National Golf Course Los Angeles in Rancho Palos Verdes, where President Trump was scheduled to attend a Republican National Committee dinner.
