Former Fox Business Producer Jennifer Eckhart Dies at 36

Jennifer Eckhart, a former Fox Business producer who later became an advocate for trauma survivors, has died at the age of 36. Authorities in Martin County, Florida, said she was found dead in her home on September 19, 2026, and believe she died by suicide. The Martin County Sheriff's Office confirmed the death and the preliminary assessment. Officials have not released further details about the circumstances. A public statement from Eckhart's family had not been issued as of September 21. Eckhart was widely known for a federal lawsuit she filed in 2020 against former Fox News anchor Ed Henry. She accused Henry of sexually assaulting her in 2017 while they both worked for the network. Henry denied the allegations, maintaining their relationship was consensual. Fox News fired Henry in July 2020 following an internal investigation into a complaint about alleged sexual misconduct. The litigation continued for nearly five years. In March 2025, a federal judge dismissed Fox News from the case, ruling the evidence did not show the company knew about Henry's alleged conduct toward Eckhart while it was occurring. Other claims against Henry were allowed to proceed.
