Forensic probe finds explicit videos on phone from ex-MP's prison cell

Forensic analysis of a mobile phone and pen drive seized from the prison cell of convicted former MP Prajwal Revanna has revealed over 250 video clips, including pornographic material, according to police. The discovery was made following a surprise inspection at the Parappana Agrahara Central Prison in Bengaluru on August 11. The seized Android smartphone contained 147 clips, while the pen drive held more than 100 videos, which included OTT series and movies, police said. The devices were confiscated during a raid by the Central Crime Branch in the prison's high-security division. During questioning, Revanna denied owning the phone. He claimed the device was circulated among prisoners on a rotational basis and that he did not know who downloaded the explicit videos. He also denied downloading any of the material himself. However, call logs from the phone indicated Revanna made unauthorized contact with family members, both through intermediaries and via direct calls to a female friend. He reportedly admitted to making these calls during questioning. A notebook containing contact numbers of family members and acquaintances was also found in the cell.
