Fitbit founders launch Luffu Link screenless health band for families

Fitbit cofounders James Park and Eric Friedman have launched Luffu Link, a new screenless wearable band designed to help families monitor the health and safety of loved ones, particularly older adults. The LTE-enabled device, announced on August 25, 2026, combines continuous health tracking with location awareness and voice logging to provide caregivers with updates without requiring constant phone calls. Luffu Link is the first hardware product from Luffu, a startup founded earlier this year by Park and Friedman.
