Fisher beats Pirotton by majority decision in Zuffa debut

Johnny Fisher won a 10-round majority decision over Michael Pirotton at London’s Copper Box Arena on September 26, taking two judges’ cards while the third scored the bout a draw. The victory marked Fisher’s first appearance under the Zuffa Boxing banner, but he did not secure the stoppage he appeared to pursue in the closing round. The judges scored the fight 98-92 and 96-95 for Fisher, with the remaining card at 95-95. The result gave Fisher a win in his return to the arena where Dave Allen stopped him in 2025. Pirotton, a Belgian heavyweight, remained on his feet through all 10 rounds. Fisher began aggressively, landing body shots, right hands and left hooks. Pirotton sustained a cut near his eye, which a ringside doctor examined during the bout; he was allowed to continue. Accounts of the fight described Pirotton becoming more effective as Fisher’s pace slowed, using his jab and trading at close range in the later rounds. Fisher briefly threatened to end the contest in the 10th, when a short right hand staggered Pirotton. He could not follow with a finishing attack, and Pirotton made it to the final bell.
