A fire in a 12-story residential building in Mumbai's Vile Parle West neighborhood killed a child and a woman and injured six others on Tuesday night, civic officials said. The blaze erupted on the 11th floor of the Shanta Bhavan building at approximately 10 p.m. and was brought under control by 1 a.m. on Wednesday.
