Final Clayface Trailer Previews Matt Hagen’s Transformation

Warner Bros. and DC Studios released a final trailer for Clayface on September 24, previewing the body-horror transformation of Matt Hagen ahead of the film’s planned theatrical release on October 23, 2026. The trailer depicts Hagen undergoing a treatment intended to restore his disfigured face, followed by disturbing physical changes and apparent face-changing abilities. The film stars Tom Rhys Harries as Hagen, a Hollywood actor whose career is derailed after he is disfigured. In the trailer, Dr. Caitlin Bates, played by Naomi Ackie, asks Hagen what he wants. He replies that he wants his life back. The clip then shows a medical procedure and Hagen’s transformation, with Bates telling him he must learn to control it. The preview also shows him frightening people with his new abilities, before teasing his eventual monster form. Warner Bros.’ official synopsis says Hagen’s rise from a Gotham street kid to a Hollywood leading man is cut short by a local crime boss’s actions. After being abandoned by his team, he seeks treatment that restores his appearance but affects his grip on reality and sends him toward revenge.
