Fifth Woman Found Dead Near Kempton Park as Police Investigate

South African police have identified Elizabeth Moselakgomo as the fourth woman found dead near Kempton Park, bringing the total number of women discovered in the area to five over the past two months. The 38-year-old was identified by her family at the Germiston Mortuary on Monday, September 14, after her body was found on September 12 in Rhodesfield, near the R21 highway. Her disappearance on September 9, after she left home for a run, had prompted a widespread search. The discovery of a fifth woman's body on Monday morning in nearby Olifantsfontein has intensified community fears and prompted police to issue a public warning. The latest victim, who remains unidentified, was found partially naked and bruised, with police suspecting she was killed elsewhere and her body dumped at the scene. The South African Police Service has established a multidisciplinary task team to investigate the deaths of all five women, whose bodies were found in the Kempton Park and Olifantsfontein areas since July. The victims were all black women in their thirties, found partially or completely naked with visible injuries.
