Fi Recalls Dog Supplements Over Salmonella Fears

Fi, a pet supplement company, has issued a nationwide recall for two of its dog supplement products due to potential Salmonella contamination. The U.S. Food and Drug Administration announced the recall on September 9, 2026, which was initiated out of an abundance of caution after an ingredient supplied to Fi's manufacturer was found to be potentially contaminated. The affected products are the Fi Calming Supplement for Dogs, 180 grams, lot number 26118, and the Fi 8in1 Formula Supplement for Dogs, 180 grams, lot number 26159. Both products have been distributed directly to consumers and through online retailers Amazon and Chewy.com. The manufacturer has suspended production while it investigates the source of the contamination. Salmonella is a bacterial pathogen that can pose health risks to both pets and people. Dogs ingesting contaminated supplements may exhibit symptoms such as lethargy, vomiting, diarrhea, fever, decreased appetite, or abdominal pain. According to the FDA, even healthy-appearing pets can carry and spread the bacteria.
