Ferrari Unveils Schumacher Tribute Livery for Italian Grand Prix

Ferrari has unveiled a special one-off livery for its home Italian Grand Prix at Monza, paying tribute to seven-time world champion Michael Schumacher on the 30th anniversary of his debut with the team. The tribute, revealed on Tuesday, September 1, 2026, will see the team's 2026 car, the SF26, run in a design inspired by the Ferrari F310 that Schumacher first drove in 1996. The livery is predominantly red with white on the wings and black accents, echoing the 1996 car. It incorporates Schumacher's personal MS logo on the cockpit and seven stars on the nose, one for each of his world championships. The BBS wheels feature a hint of gold on the rims, recalling the original magnesium rims from that season. Drivers Lewis Hamilton and Charles Leclerc will also wear bespoke race suits and helmets marked with the same seven-star motif. The timing of the tribute serves a dual purpose, marking both 30 years since Schumacher joined Ferrari in 1996 and 20 years since his last victory at Monza in 2006. Schumacher, Ferrari's most successful driver, won five of his seven titles with the Scuderia between 2000 and 2004 and claimed five of his 91 Grand Prix victories at the Italian circuit.
