Explosions at Syrian Army Depot Near Aleppo Injure Four

A series of explosions struck a Syrian army ammunition depot near the town of AlEis in Aleppo province early Monday, injuring four people and prompting a large-scale emergency response. The blasts, which were heard across nearby towns, occurred at a site identified by local sources as a weapons depot belonging to the Syrian Defence Ministry. The Syrian Ministry of Emergency and Disaster Management reported that four civilians were injured: one by shrapnel, two with temporary breathing difficulties, and a fourth in a traffic accident while fleeing the area. The injured were transported to medical facilities for treatment. Aleppo civil defense chief Faisal Mohammad Ali stated that ongoing secondary explosions and flying shrapnel severely hindered emergency teams' access to the site. "The continuing explosions were preventing emergency services from reaching the site swiftly," he said, warning civilians to stay away. Aleppo governor Azzam al-Gharib urged residents not to leave their homes, confirming that hospitals, ambulance, and emergency teams were placed on full alert. Roads leading to the explosion site were closed by the Internal Security Command to ensure civilian safety.
