Evil Dead Burn Sets HBO Max Date for October 2

HBO Max has scheduled Evil Dead Burn to begin streaming October 2, 2026, followed by its television premiere on HBO the next evening as part of a three-film Evil Dead lineup. The dates were announced by HBO Max and HBO; the releases are still scheduled, not yet completed. The HBO broadcast is set for Saturday, October 3, at 8 p.m. ET. It will follow Evil Dead, scheduled for 4:45 p.m., and Evil Dead Rise, scheduled for 6:20 p.m. The lineup brings together the 2013 film, its 2023 follow-up and the newest installment in one evening on the network. Evil Dead Burn opened in theaters on July 10, 2026. Reports put its worldwide box-office gross at about $72 million against a $20 million production budget. The film is the sixth installment in the franchise and was directed by Sébastien Vaniček, who co-wrote the screenplay with Florent Bernard. The story follows a woman who, after her husband’s death, seeks comfort with her in-laws at a secluded family home. The family gathering turns dangerous as its members begin transforming into Deadites, according to the film’s synopsis.
