Everton have been offered the chance to sign former Manchester United forward Anthony Martial as a free agent, following a chaotic end to their summer transfer window that left the club with only one recognized senior striker. The 30-year-old Frenchman is currently unattached after his contract with Mexican club Monterrey was terminated by mutual consent in June, making him eligible to sign and register with a new club despite the closure of the Premier League transfer window on September 2. According to reports, intermediaries for Martial have contacted several Premier League clubs in recent days, including Everton, to gauge interest in a potential move. The forward is said to be keen on returning to English football, where he spent nine years with Manchester United, scoring 63 goals in 209 Premier League appearances.
