Everton agree deal for USMNT striker Balogun from Monaco

Published 31 August 2026

Everton have reached an agreement with AS Monaco to sign United States men's national team striker Folarin Balogun, with the deal expected to make him the second most expensive American player in history. The transfer, which is pending the completion of personal terms, comes as the Premier League club seeks to overhaul its attack before the transfer window closes. According to reports, the fee is structured as a fixed payment of approximately 40 million pounds, with potential add-ons that could increase the total value. This would place the transfer behind only Christian Pulisic's move from Chelsea to Borussia Dortmund for 64 million pounds in 2018.
