Ethics Complaint Alleges Boebert Had Affairs With Staffers

A sworn ethics complaint filed with the House Ethics Committee on September 17, 2026, alleges that Rep. Lauren Boebert had sexual relationships with three of her congressional staffers and paid one of them $200,000 in hush money. The complaint, submitted by David Wheeler of the political action committee American Muckrakers, names former district director Clarice Navarro Ratzlaff, district chief of staff Raven Finegan, and former chief of staff Jeffrey Small as the staffers involved. The complaint alleges that Boebert paid Navarro Ratzlaff $200,000 in 2025 after she threatened to file her own ethics complaint regarding their relationship. Wheeler claims to possess supporting evidence, including text messages, bank records, and recorded conversations. Boebert has vehemently denied the allegations. In a statement to Sources Say News, she said, "I'm not a lesbian or bisexual, and I have never, ever been in any inappropriate relationship, nor have I ever been sexually involved with any staff." In a video posted to social media on September 20, she called the complaint "filthy garbage" and described Wheeler as a "sloppy, desperate, obsessive hack.
