Published 29 August 2026

Bollywood actor Emraan Hashmi has tested positive for the H1N1 influenza virus, commonly known as swine flu, forcing him to postpone a highly anticipated live performance in Bengaluru. The diagnosis was confirmed through medical tests on August 28, 2026, following a period of rigorous travel for movie promotions. Hashmi began experiencing flu-like symptoms after returning from recent work-related trips, including a visit to Ranchi. After feeling unwell for several days, he underwent testing which revealed the H1N1 infection. Doctors have advised the actor to strictly isolate, take bed rest, and follow standard recovery protocols to prevent further transmission.
