Bollywood actor Emraan Hashmi has tested positive for the H1N1 influenza virus, commonly known as swine flu, forcing him to postpone a highly anticipated live performance in Bengaluru. The diagnosis was confirmed through medical tests on August 28, 2026, following a period of rigorous travel for movie promotions. Hashmi began experiencing flu-like symptoms after returning from recent work-related trips, including a visit to Ranchi. After feeling unwell for several days, he underwent testing which revealed the H1N1 infection.
