Despite the football competition, the Emmy telecast ranked as the most-watched non-sports, non-news Monday broadcast of 2026, both overall and among adults aged 18-49. Apple TV+ series "Widows Bay" dominated the awards, setting a record for a comedy series with 14 Emmy wins, including outstanding comedy. HBO's medical drama "The Pitt" won outstanding drama for the second consecutive year.
