Emirates launches electric Premium Economy seat
Emirates has introduced a new Premium Economy seat, featuring what the airline describes as the world's first electrically powered seat with a full-height adjustable privacy screen. The innovative seat is debuting on the airline's newly delivered Airbus A350 aircraft, aiming to enhance passenger comfort and personal space. The new seat allows passengers to raise or lower the privacy divider to the full height of the seat using integrated controls, creating a more private environment for dining, working, or resting. The seat itself is also electrically powered, offering passengers greater control over their seating position with dedicated modes for lounging and dining. This feature, along with a cradle-style recline that does not intrude on the space of the passenger behind, is designed to improve relaxation during flights. The Premium Economy cabin on the A350 features a spacious 2-3-2 configuration with 28 seats. Each seat measures 20 inches wide and offers up to 39 inches of pitch, providing ample legroom. Comfort is further enhanced by the inclusion of Emirates' UDream headrest, designed by Safran Seats, which features adjustable wings for personalized neck and head support.
