Eagles Guard Landon Dickerson Placed on Injured Reserve

Published 15 September 2026

Philadelphia Eagles left guard Landon Dickerson has been placed on injured reserve, sidelining the three-time Pro Bowler for at least four games due to a knee injury. The move, announced Monday, September 14, 2026, came one day after Dickerson struggled in the team's 24-22 season-opening victory over the Washington Commanders. Dickerson was candid about his performance in the Week 1 win, stating on WIP Radio that he "played like s--t" and was "a complete liability." He explained that the knee issue originated a few weeks prior when he was rolled up on during practice. "I thought as weeks went by it would get better, and it didn't," Dickerson said. "We kind of went out there and finally got some imaging on it today, figured out what was wrong with it, and really the best plan moving forward is to put me on IR so I can get this thing better." Head coach Nick Sirianni defended his veteran lineman at a Monday press conference. "He's tough as heck," Sirianni said. "We've won a ton of games with Landon, and there's a lot of good things that he can do.
