Dulquer Salmaan's "I'm Game" opens to Rs 5.05 crore at Indian box office

Dulquer Salmaan's fantasy action film "I'm Game" opened to a mixed response at the Indian box office on September 3, earning a net collection of Rs 5.05 crore. The film, directed by Nahas Hidhayath, marks Salmaan's return to a lead role in Malayalam cinema after a three-year gap but fell short of the opening day numbers of his previous release, "King of Kotha." According to figures from industry tracker Sacnilk, the film's performance was driven primarily by its Malayalam version, which collected Rs 4.30 crore from 1,787 shows. The Telugu and Hindi versions contributed Rs 65 lakh and Rs 10 lakh, respectively. The worldwide gross for the first day was reported at approximately Rs 11.35 crore. The film recorded an overall occupancy of 44.58% in the Malayalam market, with night shows seeing the strongest response at 64.50%. Despite the decent start, the opening did not surpass the Rs 6.85 crore earned by "King of Kotha" in 2023. However, "I'm Game" did perform better than the single-day collection of Yash's "Toxic" on its ninth day.
