Drone attack on Moscow kills two on election day

A large-scale drone attack struck Moscow and its surrounding region on Sunday, September 20, 2026, killing two civilians and damaging an oil refinery on the final day of Russia's parliamentary elections. The governor also reported that a fire triggered by falling drone debris on the roof of a 21-story apartment building in Ramenskoye led to the evacuation of approximately 400 residents, including 70 children.
