Drift-Linked Wallets Send $61.56 Million in ETH to Tornado Cash
Wallets linked to the April Drift Protocol exploit deposited 25,700 ETH, worth about $61.56 million, into Tornado Cash on October 20, according to blockchain-monitoring account Lookonchain. The transfers took place over roughly two hours, after about two months in which the addresses had been inactive, the account reported. The transfer does not establish whether the ETH was sold, converted to cash or recovered by another party. Arkham Intelligence tracking cited in reports showed 71 addresses linked to the exploiter holding 81,454 ETH after the deposits. Their reported dollar value ranged from about $194 million to $198.58 million, depending on the observation and ETH price. The figures are attributed to monitoring and analytics services; the available reporting does not independently establish who controls the addresses. The reported movement follows an earlier transfer in July, when an address labeled Drift Exploiter 4...
