Dream’s WNBA Finals home venue remains undecided

Published 12 October 2026

The Atlanta Dream cannot use State Farm Arena for their scheduled home games in the WNBA Finals because the venue is booked for a concert and Atlanta Hawks games. As of Sunday night, October 11, the team and league had not announced where those games would be played. Atlanta is scheduled to host Game 3 on October 22 and Game 4 on October 24 against the Golden State Valkyries, with a possible Game 6 on October 29. State Farm Arena is scheduled to host a Sombr concert on October 22 and Hawks regular-season games on October 24 and 29, leaving the arena unavailable on all three dates. Gateway Center Arena in College Park, the Dream’s regular home venue, holds 3,500 spectators for basketball. It has been identified in reports as the fallback if the team does not secure another location, but no final venue had been confirmed as of Sunday night. The Dream have explored larger alternatives, including Gas South Arena and McCamish Pavilion, according to reporting cited in coverage of the search; neither was reported secured. The venue issue comes as Atlanta prepares for its first Finals appearance since 2013.
