DJI Launches Osmo 360 II With Replaceable Lenses, Not in US

DJI has launched the Osmo 360 II, a second-generation 360-degree camera that addresses key shortcomings of its predecessor with replaceable lenses and improved underwater performance. The new model, announced at IFA 2026, will be available in most global markets from September 15, but will not be sold in the United States for the foreseeable future. The most significant upgrade is the introduction of a user-replaceable lens system. The original Osmo 360, released in 2025, featured fixed lenses that required sending the entire camera to DJI for repair if damaged. The Osmo 360 II allows users to swap out scratched or broken lenses themselves, a feature already offered by competitors like Insta360. DJI states the new lenses also have a tougher "UltraHard" optical coating to better withstand scratches. Beyond the lens design, DJI has improved the camera's performance in several areas. While the dual 1-inch square sensors remain the same, the company has increased the dynamic range from 13.5 to 14.5 stops and boosted the maximum 8K video frame rate from 50fps to 60fps. Slow-motion capabilities have been enhanced to 4K at 240fps, up from 100fps on the original.
