Diddy's Prison Release Date Moved Up to February 5, 2028

Sean "Diddy" Combs, the hip-hop mogul convicted of federal prostitution charges, is now projected to be released from prison on February 5, 2028, according to the latest records from the Federal Bureau of Prisons. The new date, reported by multiple outlets on September 3, 2026, moves his expected release forward by more than two weeks from the previous projection of February 20, 2028. Combs, 56, is serving a 50-month sentence at the Federal Correctional Institution in Fort Dix, New Jersey. The sentence was handed down following his 2025 federal trial, where a jury convicted him on two counts of transporting prostitutes across state lines for the purpose of sex. The jury acquitted Combs on more serious charges of racketeering and sex trafficking. The judge, citing the need for deterrence and the harm caused to victims, imposed the four-year, two-month term. The projected release date has undergone several adjustments since Combs began serving his sentence in October 2025. It was initially set for June 2028, then moved to earlier dates including April and February, before being pushed back to January 2028.
