Diablo 4 Season 15 Launches September 15 With Diablo 1 Recreation

Blizzard Entertainment has announced that Diablo 4's Season 15, titled "Season of Hells Legacy," will launch on September 15, 2026. The new season is designed to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the Diablo franchise and will introduce a range of nostalgic content, including a recreation of the original Diablo game and the return of the iconic non-player character Deckard Cain. The season's launch coincides with the game's debut on the Nintendo Switch 2 console. According to Blizzard, the season will feature a new activity called "Waking Nightmares," which recreates key moments from previous Diablo titles. A central part of this activity is a recreation of "almost all of Diablo 1," where players will start in Tristram Cathedral and fight their way down to Hell to confront Diablo. Deckard Cain, a staple of the series who was killed in Diablo 3, returns as a guide for the season. His spirit will narrate a teaser trailer and assist players with anniversary rewards and gear. The season's narrative involves the return of the three Prime Evils: Diablo, Baal, and Mephisto.
