Delhi draft roll excludes 47 lakh voters, 33% deletion rate
Delhi's draft electoral roll, published on August 31, 2026, excludes more than 47 lakh voters, nearly one in every three registered electors in the national capital. The list, compiled following a Special Intensive Revision (SIR) exercise, contains the names of approximately 97.5 lakh voters across the city's 70 Assembly segments. Officials at the Delhi Chief Electoral Officer's office stated that the final electoral roll is scheduled for publication on November 4, 2026. The revision process, which involved a house-to-house enumeration, began on June 30 and concluded on August 17. During this period, enumeration forms were collected and digitized for about 67.18% of Delhi's total 1.
