The win was highlighted by a record-breaking performance from all-rounder Deepti Sharma, who became the leading wicket-taker in women's T20I history on her 150th appearance for the national team. After being put in to bat, India posted a total of 159 for 9 in their 20 overs. The innings was anchored by a blistering 64 from opener Shafali Verma, who struck eight fours and three sixes in a 36-ball knock. Shafali reached her half-century in just 26 balls, helping India race past 100 in the 10th over.
