Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh welcome second child, a baby girl

Bollywood actors Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh have welcomed their second child, a baby girl, the couple announced on Saturday. The birth was confirmed in a joint Instagram post shared on September 19, 2026. The announcement featured a simple card with a baby's footprint and the text "Welcome Baby Girl! 19.9.2026." The post also noted that their first child, Dua Padukone Singh, is now an elder sister. The couple did not reveal the newborn's name. The birth comes just over two years after the couple welcomed their first daughter, Dua, on September 8, 2024. Padukone and Singh had officially announced the second pregnancy on April 19, 2026, with a social media post showing Dua holding a positive pregnancy test. During her pregnancy, Padukone continued working on her professional commitments. According to a report, she filmed for the movie "Raaka," starring Allu Arjun and directed by Atlee, while in her third trimester. A crew member stated that she was determined to complete the film before taking a maternity break, performing physically demanding action sequences despite the challenges. Singh also adjusted his work schedule ahead of the birth.
