Deeley, Kielty co-parent sons after split

Published 7 September 2026

Cat Deeley and Patrick Kielty are navigating co-parenting their two young sons following their separation last year. The television presenters, who announced their divorce in July 2025 after 12 years of marriage, are committed to raising their children, Milo, aged 10, and James, aged 8, together. Deeley, 49, described their co-parenting approach as a 50-50 arrangement, emphasizing the importance of organization. "It's about being as organised as you can possibly be," she told The Sunday Times. She also noted that she receives assistance from an "amazing nanny" due to her early morning starts for her role co-hosting ITV's This Morning. "Everybody's doing their best," Deeley added. Kielty, 55, who hosts RTÉ's The Late Late Show, reflected on the past year, which included personal losses, framing his experiences as part of "the ebb and flow of life." He shared that he finds joy in fatherhood, particularly in being present for his sons, attending school runs, and supporting their activities. "The joy of being a dad is just being there," he stated, adding that his focus remains on his children's well-being.
